1.   Is there any guidelines for writing article in the BJRD?

BJRD has a comprehensive guideline on how to write the manuscript. Author/s should conform to the  guidelines before submitting.

2. When can you submit the articles to the Bhutan Journal of Research and Development?

Bhutan Journal of Research and Development is the bi-annual Journal that publishes two issues a year, One in May and one in November. Prospective author can submit the article at any time of the year.

3. How does the article gets accepted to the Journal?

The article will be immediately compiled if it conforms to the journal manuscript guidelines. All articles are  reviewed in order of chronological order of the receipt. It means the articles which are submitted earlier will get first preferences and the same goes with the publications where the articles which go through the review earlier will get the first preferences again.

4. How long does it take for the publication of manuscript in the BJRD?

Normally, the article which gets through the peer review process takes about three months before receiving the final letter of acceptance from the Production Editor. Those manuscript which requires the re-submission will take around double the time, i.e., six months or more based on the quality of revised manuscript submitted for the publication.

5. Does the journal follow any kind of publication fee model?

Bhutan Journal of Research and Development is an open access, print and online peer-reviewed journal which is published free of cost without any fees such as Article Processing Fees (APC) including the printing cost to authors. The journal follows the Gold Open Access methods of publication and distributes two copies of the journal to each author upon fnal publication in hard copies.

6. Which type of peer review system does the BJRD journal follows?

The BJRD follows a double-blind peer review system where both the peer reviewer and the authors will remain anonymous to each other. The peer-review process is intended to ensure an unbiased review of the manuscript submitted to the journal and avoid potential competing interest issues. The reviewers will be approached based on their expertise relative to the content of the manuscript by the Managing Editor, and following the receipt of the consent from the reviewer, the manuscript and the evaluation form will be shared with the peer reviewers.
